Angel'in Heavy Syrup are actually four women from the land o' the rising sun (insert bad, arcane in-joke about "dead sun rising") who play like a bizarre cross between the Cocteau Twins and the Butthole Surfers having weird sex in the bathroom of a jazz lounge in Osaka. You should desire to own all two of their albums. (A third one is on the way.) In the meantime, enjoy this brief and cryptically monosyllabic interview, in which we discover just how little English the band really knows (which is still more Japanese than I know).
